I don't have any easy answer to that question. There is a degree of leeway, I guess you could say, where sometimes stories can have dark, serious, or even perhaps degenerate themes if they're told in the right way. But for whatever reason, aside from a few scant instances of Russian Orthodox affiliated movies that have been made in the last few years, there just doesn't seem to be much of a cognizance of this in the West. So I don't really know why people just sort of surrendered the arts to these domains of the dark, the satanic, social engineering, and so forth.
