The Task Force Recommends Screening for Latent TB

Tuberculosis is a big issue worldwide, but how come we're thinking about this in the US context? I think when you look at people who are exposed to anybody with active tuberculosis, about 30% of such people actually have latent TB. Of those, they're looking at about 1 in 10 people that may go on to develop active tuberculosis. So, it's a public health problem that is pretty significant.
