Is Science More Responsible Than Politicians?
i wondered if any of you have anything to say about the role of scientists within the sort of interface with politics, and perhaps they have more responsibility than the academics who are doing the research or not. Yes, i think that one thing that science does well is to understand risks under uncertainty. I think most scientists might not have said, this is high likely that it could cause hart problems. So we should even say what we don't know right up front. And so that, i think, would give people a more fair understanding of how science really worksa very, very, you know, early on in the science, there's a lot of things we may not know.
