A Different Voice Enters Into Isaiah's Prophecy

Isaiah's prophecies often have a distinctively dramatic character to them, with alternation between different voices whose identities are not always clearly signalled within the text. We could perhaps hear the voice here as that of zion, clothed in the lord's salvation. John oswald making a case for such a reading. Goldingay warns the reader to beware of allowing the chapter division to dull them to the connection n this statement and that which follows it.
