Seplus Ploss - Signed Ins?

This article, un surprisingly generated a lot of noise on tweeter. What was surprising to me were some very well known seplus ploss people expressing their opinions on this topic - and being wrong. The conversation started with avid geshman tweeting link to the above article and commenting, almost always signed. This prompted peter summerlad to quote his twite with comment, mostly correct,. With some bad suplas plas examples, ie, using new to allocate an ray instead of making it. Could also benefit from being less polemic. And i cannot understand the obsession with using signed interges by some. That was really disappointing to read.
