There are about 400 in the world already, and more develop every year. The real problem comes when the bacteria that are decomposers come to feast on all those dead algie. And so they're multiplying away like mad and using up all the oxygen in the water. That's when you have a dead zone, which means that there is no more oxygen in the sea.
