What's the Prehistory of the Korean War?

Iill: Why don't we start with a kind of, like pre history of all this? Like, how did we get to the situation? Iill: Our ignorance culturally is so deep, especially here, that most of us don't even refer to the d p r k as its name. So i think what's most immediate to understanding korea is that it was a colony of japan from 19 ten to 19 forty five. And getting into colonialism is very important, because that's understanding the class conditions, the social fabric, you know, and everything about a corean society that resulted in the changes that we see.
