Base Matter

base matter is the main concept really of a lot of the works of George Bataille, French transgressive thinker. It's the material part in which all of our hierarchy stand and transplants onto the idea of the spirit over the mind or the body. There is the fundamental thing we call an insubordinate character of matter, which both grounds every hierarchy and yet the hierarchy can ever fully acknowledge it. And I think Base Materialism is a good way of thinking about the anarchy of abnormality - there is always a line of escape from any categorization of the body or of the mind or of both in incoporeal unity.
