What Is the Goal of the Christian Life?

A disappointment and a desire are intimately related. They can't exist without each other. A lot of Christians are disappointed because they have lost touch with this very question, what the goal of the Christian life is. And I think ultimately for me, it's summed up in Jesus's words in near the end of John's gospel when Jesus says that Jesus came that we would have eternal life.
