Griswold vs. Connecticut - Comstock Act of 1873

Griswold versus connecticut overturned a law that was sometimes described as a little comstock law. That was a nickname for various state anti obscenity laws similar to the comstock act of 18 73. This law was named for social reformer anthony comstock, coincidentally, also of connecticut. He started out doing much of this work through the young men's christian association before heading up a new organization just for that purpose.
