A formal verification is like a logical technique for talking about the cution of a piece of software, or really an algarthem. You would use something like this to describe the behavior that you want in a system and then basically create a very, very long, complicated proof that proves that there are no vulnerabilities. Of course, it's quite difficult. But we've seen some pretty interesting examples of things like micro kernels that come out of, um, mostly academic labs that are interested in this sort of thing.
