Research shows that listening and pulling out the other person is a much more effective way of beginning a networking conversation. There's actually an 80 20 rule it's a business coach, allison mackenzie, who recommends keeping 80 % of the conversation focused on your partner and about 20% on yourself. I think it's helpful to allow people to finish their thoughts before asking them another question. And again, especially in a sort of human friendly, authentic way, is a really important part of in sure that a conversation goes both ways.
