How to Isolate a Subpopulation That Doesn't Speak African American English?
There's been a fair amount of study on african american english. We use this geographic level information as the only initial real statistical indicator s there's some ways in which that's a little less biased than some of these other ones. And so we dont say, ok, well, let's let the medidata of our corpus really tell us theful stories. Then to validate what the model sound we drew very heavily on the previous literature of looking at particular combinations of phonological variance and things like that.
