Deep work is a tool for thought that can be used to help people with cognitively demanding work. The term was created by the founders of 20 20, an independent research company based in New York City. They say it's more accessible than other terms such as muse or tool for thought. "I think deep work is much less niche," says co-founder and chief executive officer John Defterios.
