Is It a Directory or a Repository?

I don't want to have 75 different repositories to define this application. As a general rule, I would pick a directory or a repository depending on the direction of the flow of data from that repo. If you're talking about GitOps model, there is a process running somewhere, pulling information from a specific repository and specific directory. It's important more from the human organizational perspective than anything else. But if you went to a directory model and you're applying get ops, then when the hooks come in, are the things going to be okay? I don't know. And I find with both options, I have no strong preference.
