A two thousand seven review of these studies looked at the characteristics of real world asma patients and how they compared to people who had been included in the trials. The answer was, over all, on average, six percent. So 94 % of every day real world patients with asthma would have been completely ineligible to participate in the trials used to make decisions about those very patients.
