"There's something about music that is tied to our sense of identity, personally and socially," says director. "I didn't really think think about the music in any deep way." The film was inspired by a love for gothic music but also an interest in how other people react to it. It wasn't until you got to know Stephen spillburg as a person or artist that your idea changed 'in a really good way,' he adds.
