The Importance of Walking in Cities
The biggest problem in the US is there's no pedestrian culture in most cities. And so as a result of this, people end up with actually pretty low density. You can't have the entire town decide to go somewhere at 9 a.m. Everybody needs to leave all of these giant towers where they live and go into the giant towerswhere they work. That requires an enormous amount of roads.
