Is There Still a Market for Supersonic Flight?
Sustainable fuels are estimated to account for less than 0.1% of global aviation fuel used today. Biofuels are at least twice as expensive as regular jet fuel and synthetic fuels, like the ones that zero petroleum make, are up to 10 times more expensive. It should be possible for costs to come down as they have for other green technologies, such as solar panels,. But that's clearly going to take years. And in the meantime, we need to reduce carbon emissions urgently.
