How I Learned About Gayness as a Kid
"I didn't even know what gay was until later than you would think probably sometime in like late junior high. I remember there was one guy in like the show choir that was my older brother's age that he was gay," she says. "It was just talked about in a very, very negative way within my family." She recalls her mom being angry with her sister for talking to him and having any kind of relationship with him.
