The Responsibility of Sales Shouldn't Be Revenue

If you're looking for incremental growth, I would argue that incremental growth is also going to come from operations, not from sales. For example, if you supply fasteners and you supply, you know, Philips head screws and flat screws, do you really in their salesperson tapping a customer on the shoulder and say, you know,. we sell a bloody whatever they call the star head screws as well? It's not necessary. If you want that incremental business, the best way to get the incremental business is to do a good job of delivery, pricing product, and it should be operations responsibility. And the responsibility of sales should not be revenue in general. It should be explicitly new business revenue
