The Sepir Warf Hypothesis

William Gladstone is the discoverer of the absence of blueness in Homeric literature. He bases this claim on the fact that whenever Homer talks about things that should be described as blue, like the sea, he uses two really unexpected terms for color. This sounds like a version of the Sepir Warf hypothesis, which holds that our worldview is shaped if not determined by the categories of the language that we speak.
