How to Prevent Volume Overloading in Patients
"Why would you wait for something bad to happen when you could prevent that thing from happening?" he asks. "He's on three pressers, probably going to get a liter and a half of volume just in pressers alone" The patient is still in substantial shock; some people say they don't know how muchVolume you can get off him. But it sounds like maybe you're saying if you got ahead of it and you can be very gentle about it and just sort of prevent too much from accumulating, that may be easier as well than trying to suck giant amounts out.
