Many families and friends have been divided, because the contact line is closed. It's not possible to cross to the sapartist regions. So people who are living along the border are exposed to frequent shelling,. They might even be cut off from their families as the contact line basically runs through their community. Many of the elderly people don't necessarily want to leave e i've interviewed a lady who lives directly on the contact line - one of the worst places on earth that i've ever seen.
