The burden of any thought experiments rest on the establishment in the imagination of a phenomenon. Once the phenomenon is established, the inference theory is fairly unproblematic. If there is uncertainty concerning the relevant background conditions, however, then it becomes unclear whether or not the thought experimenter has established the phenomenon at this point. The possible world is inadequately described.
