I've Been Through Mental Abuse for a Long Time, You Know?
"I've been totally dismantled by this mental abuse as a child, which was unnecessary," he says. "My kids really got me to write this book because, you know, they have kids and we don't really have time to sit down over dinner and talk about this stuff." He's had help from doctors but it doesn't cure his symptoms or give him a normal life. The singer-songwriter is grateful for the support of people like Belfast filmmaker Marty Stalker who saw his story in an earlier documentary.
