John Eliis: miriam and peter, thank you so much for being here. i've been extraflating trying to think about some, just some first thoughts about land and sea relationships from comparing a case like the octopus with a cases like the bird. In the case of birds, they have a a partially disconnected relationship between left and right in the upper parts of their brain. And there's considerable specialization, it turns out, with respect to the styles of the styles of cognition associated with left and right. It can't have its parts doing the weird things that octopus pas to.
