The Future of Maths Education

Next week, the Prime Minister will announce plans for maths to be taught up to 18 years old in all schools. He's given himself two years in order to implement it when he possibly won't even oversee that implementation. Jill says there are practical and philosophical questions about how on earth you would do this. She also points out we have a real crisis in terms of recruitment and retention of good teachers across the curriculum.
