The way we practice back when I was a resident is completely different way than we practice now. We really wanted to focus on the VCU G's rather than the ultrasounds. Only about 13% of kids would have an abnormal ultrasound, and only 3% were actionable. If you might not need an ultrasound at least as it did in 2011, then you might not needs an ultrasound after first UTI. But if you could pick up all the kids with obstructive lesions before birth, my lateral high-known approach from posterior retrial valves will be more effective.
