I think everyone will be rushing to be a science fiction writer again. In about five years time, i'l put that out ther ros of prediction, people will have fiction like tattooed on te their book covers. It's given birth to many gonres, like space opera or siber punk, steam punk, alternate histories. But in itself, it's very difficult to identify what what is generic about science fiction? What three things are shared across all science fiction stories? And you can't really identify anything.
