Skeletal remains are found, as is the sole of a small shoe. But more formal identification and potentially determining the cause of death takes some time. The only progress authorities make in terms of identifying the bones is confirming that they belonged to an adult male and female. It's impossible to know the minutia of egbert conney, georg and max's last days together, but their loved ones now at least have a realistic idea of how things sadly transpired.
