The Importance of Forest Service in Vermont
As of January 1st, Mark O'Mara is no longer the commissioner of Vermont's Department of Forest Parks and Recreation. He worked for 14 years as a forester in that department before being tapped to lead it by incoming governor Peter Shemlin. "You just out with interesting people, walking, interesting pieces of land, and helping them," he says about his new job.
