Henry Ford said that the reason the model T came down in price so dramatically wasn't so much the automated assembly plan, because that only affected the labor. He said it was the vertical integration of the car. That's what drove the costs down and made it affordable for the average person. You see Apple potentially doing that again by controlling the chip. Now their chip is going to be directly running their software. They compare that stuff together.
