Culture is our biggest challenge as a company. My definition of good culture is that you have engaged team members, like that everybody there is engaged with their work. And what engagement means is you're getting more out of your job than you're putting in. It's very high bar to clear. To do it, it's compensation, of course, but you get pretty quickly, we're all on the hedonic treadmill and get used to that.

Flexport is a global freight forwarder powered by software and analytics. They are making international trade easier for over 10,000 companies in 70 countries. They were part of the YC Winter 2014 batch.
