What Is Sleep Deprivation?

Short term sleep deprivation increases the amount of damaging compounds called reactive oxygen species in your eye. And then what it does is reduce the amount of antioxidants, which everyone will have to talk about. Long term sleep deprivation thins the corneal surface of the eye leading to more constant red eyes. Even just short term sleep changes the chemistry of the tears that lead to the redness.
