Is It Elitist to Create a Community for Designers?

For the first eight months or so, only members were allowed to post. At some point you made ll thedesigns public. A lot of people felt like it was very elitist, and like theywer rushed out of this community. And actually, i really, it really bugs me that that was a perception. I understand why tooi i would probably think the same thing. How elitis is that you kno lik, why can't?
