The Disincentive of Wealth Taxes in the West
The argument today is that a wealth tax disincentivizes wealth creation. How would the sharia view these types of taxes? We need to stop hiding behind capitalist assumptions of how markets work, he says. The muslim does not own his life right we are simply been given this by al-as not and it's their job to use what they've been entrusted with. If you're going to attack someone who's got a very small amount of income in a way that's going to drop them below a certain threshold then that could actually have an effect.
