The Cavern - A Little Warehouse in Hamburg

Stuart came over from Hamburg in early January, and once again the Beatles were a five-piece. The group were getting bookings at the Cavern's lunchtime sessions - which meant more than it seemed. As they weren't playing original material live, there was an arms race on to find the most exciting songs to cover. After already having loved money by Barrett Strong, John would soon become a fervent fan of anything Motown. They were all big fans of the Chirrells.
