The Differences Between Eastern Tibet and Ladakh

The idea is that an ethos of revenge is almost like a defensive mechanism. So the village meeting will concentrate very much on the actual aggression and violence. And so they have to then pay fines, but mostly to the village. They're not primarily playing damages to each other. It's more thought of in communal terms.
