Most trauma patients who are severely injured are going to have a urinary catheter inserted during their trauma. You can follow the urine output realizing though that they have underlying renal disease or other renal dysfunction. And then as Dr. Haas brought up, you can use point of care ultrasound to help and all of these factors. It's just a shame that there's not a magic number, but that's really what it comes down to.
