Nahum one starts with this interesting phrase, the burden of Nineveh. The people who are writing these texts are intimately familiar in the same way that you and I are familiar with rhetoric in our day. It was we slow down and we seek to understand a little bit better these statements. We can see that come to fruition and help us better understand the text in our today.
