Where Did I Use Math in Middle School?
LZ Granderson: Only in the African American and minority cultures are we really saying, let's take mathematics out. He says he learned about the stock market in middle school; where were you paying attention? LZ: I want for the minority community to stop saying math is not important. Math is 1000% important. If not, it's way more important in our communities to say, let me get my kids in these STEM careers. Let me do that because this is going to really break those generational curses"
