The Heel Stone at Stonehenge
Stonehenge has been there for four and a half thousand years. It's flanked by banks and ditches, so earthworks,. And if we look into the field, we can actually just about make out those Banks and Ditches running down in straight lines to Stonehenge bottom. That's the avenue that leads all the way to the river Avon. We think it's the route by which processions and by which people would have approached activities at Stonehenge.
