What Pastors Shouldn't Do, Is It Plagiarizing?

When the reformation happened in England, the reforming bishops were very aware of how poor the knowledge of scripture of the priests was. So they came up with a book of homilies, book of sermons. And if there was no one coming to preach, they were to read the sermon for that Sunday. But would you say those pastors were plagiarizing by preaching sermons out of the book of homily? No, because there's no deception going on. Everybody knows that this is what they're doing.
