Mark lorry is trying to build a city in which all of the land would be owned by a central trust. He says this will help deal with inequality, and that's his main motivation for doing it. A professor at mc gill university who studies such projects says there are about 100 or 50 under way right now. But she can't really point to a single one that has fully achieved its goals.
