Halloween Is a Night for Monsters, Right?
Dickey: Halloween is in some ways sort of the promise that the rules don't apply anymore, that it's a night of transgression. The other thing is that groups that used to be kind of in the mainstream or normal or stable have been disrupted. Dickey: emerging adulthood is this kind of monstrosity of people who might have at some point in the not too distant past fit whether they wanted to or not.
