The History of Affirmative Action
In the early days, affirmative action was a policy to remedy historical exclusionary practices. But over time, it kind of has turned into a measure to bolster diversity on college campuses. There's sort of a restorative argument for affirmative action that we need to repair the harm that our society has done because of the legacy of discrimination.
