GPs Need More, Not Less
We're shorter GPs anywhere in this country. We already know that we've got less than we need, and even in positive scenarios we're looking at a shortfall of one in four GP posts. It takes about three years to complete GP training so any benefit is going to take a while to come through. But Becky Baird still doesn't think that will be enough. If you listen to this radio advert from, well, you guessed it, a brand of recycled toilet paper. Fifteen per cent of global deforestation is from toilet roll alone. In fact, serious tissues plant a tree for every roll sold.
