I'm Going to Jump Right Into Octopath Traveler 2 on PC or Switch?

I think I'm going to jump right into Pokemon Scarlet version 1.2, which came out a few days ago as a bunch of quality of life fixes and some new events. And then I'll start Octopath Traveler 2, which I've heard really good things about from a couple of different podcasts. Jason Schire from Bloomberg called it the Elden Ring of JRPGs. He said how it's likely going to be like a game of the year material for him.
