Lunatic is a term for people who are probably a psychotic. It was believed lunar, as in lunatic lunar, by the moon. As the moon waxed and waned, their psychosis would go up and down. Could be one of the derivations for the werewolf myth bause ther would come out on full moons. Research that indicates there wis more violence during a full moon.
